If you are not very concerned about the ingredients in your dog shampoo, you may love this one. Unfortunately, I was looking for a natural shampoo for my dog, and since the ingredients list for this product was deceptive, I unknowingly bought it.The list of ingredients on the bottle (and on the internet) is: Coconut shampoo base, aloe vera gel, essence of lavender, essence of mint, chamomile extract, sage extract, nettles extract, rosemary extract, wheat protein extract (natural deodorizing agent), tea tree oil, vitamin E, vitamin C. I e-mailed the company and asked for the list of ingredients in the "coconut shampoo base" and received the following: deionized water, cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB), aloe extract, glycerin. On the Skin Deep Database (you can Google that) cocamidopropyl betaine has a hazard score of 5 (out of 10, with 10 being the most... Supplies) I was under the belief that all dog shampoos are all pretty much the same. Well, I was definitely wrong about this one. First, it lathers up really well without having to use a lot. Second, it rinses off great. Third, the usual "wet dog" smell we have after our dogs get their baths is usually pretty bad, and with the Buddy Wash they hardly smelled like a wet dog at all. Fourth, their coats have never been shinier or puppy soft. Fifth and final, the smell of lavender and mint is wonderful!
